Thank you for your interest in our Director of Finance, Information and Commercial Services post.  We have a long track record of achieving the highest levels of performance, including obtaining “Double Excellent” status in 2008 from the Healthcare Commission.  We achieved the maximum ALE score in 2008 and anticipate a similar score for 2009, reflecting our high quality financial systems and use of resources.

The post arises at a time of great excitement for the Trust.  We are near the conclusion of our £338m PFI investment programme to rebuild our two hospital sites.  Our Diagnostic and Treatment Centre at St Helens Hospital opened in October 2008, offering the most up to date technology in world class facilities.  Our Whiston site with 800 plus beds is due to complete in April 2010, and will be equally impressive.

We have made great strides towards achieving high quality, patient centred services, but we aspire to do even better for the communities we serve.

We are looking for a Director of Finance who shares our vision for continually improving the quality of the patient experience, as we push the boundaries of healthcare provision to higher levels over the next decade.  We need someone who is not only a consummate financial professional, but also an energetic team player and influential leader who will thrive in our fast paced and rewarding environment.
