Arrow Global is one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing providers of debt purchase and receivables management solutions.
Purchasing customer accounts from a range of businesses, including retail banks, credit card and telecommunications companies, and then uses industry leading analytical and operational capabilities to provide tailored solutions for both creditors and customers alike.
We began working with Arrow shortly after their RBS Equity Finance backed MBO in 2009 from US parent Sallie Mae.
Initially engaged to help them build a UK based finance function post deal, by 2011 the business had expanded considerably and we were given a brief by founder and then CEO Zach Lewy to recruit a ‘best in class’ CFO to help drive and manage further exponential growth.
The remit was not only to source an individual with private equity experience in a similar data rich business, but also someone who would thrive in the business’s dynamic, intellectually challenging and entrepreneurial culture.
Using a mixture of market knowledge and selective search we were able to quickly present a high calibre shortlist of prospective candidates.
The person ultimately appointed, Rob Memmott, has since led a £220m bond issue and played an integral role in Arrow’s successful float on the London Stock Exchange in October 2013 which valued the business at just over £350m.

Zach Lewy (Founder and Executive Director): “The assignment was quite a tough ask. We were not only looking for a very high calibre individual but also someone who would readily embrace the intensity and pace of our business.
Watson Moore demonstrated not only that they understood who would fit, but very importantly that they had the market knowledge, expertise and connections to ensure we were able to access the best talent in the market”.
