Director of Operations and Transformation
In order for the Trust to continue to achieve its corporate objectives and put a firm focus on performance improvement, it has been decided to recruit a new substantive Executive Director of Operations and Transformation
The new Director of Operations and Transformation will be an outstanding professional with the capability of leading the operational staff, across all 7 Directorates, through a demanding period in the organisation’s history.
Leading the programme of service modernisation and redesign across the Trust, he/she will also take a leading role in driving clinical strategy and contractual management with the Trust PFI partners, Summit Healthcare.
He/she will be supported by 7 Clinical Directors, each of whom has dual Directorate responsibilities; clinical and managerial. The Trust is in the process of introducing Service Line Reporting, and each Directorate is resourced as a mini business unit with responsibility for its own budget.
The successful candidate is likely to have substantial experience as a Divisional Director/Manager or Director or similar high level role within the NHS, in an organisation of some size and complexity, combined with extensive experience of delivering sustained improvements to services.
Directors of Performance with experience in operations will also be considered as performance improvement will be a major priority over the next 2 years. Proven Board exposure and the ability to lead large teams are essential, whilst a good understanding of the Foundation Trust regime is highly desirable.
A six figure package commensurate with the responsibilities of the appointment and the level of seniority of the successful candidate will be available.
The appointee will automatically become a member of the NHS pension scheme unless he/she chooses to opt out and make his/her own pension arrangements.
