- Providing expert advice to the Trust Board and its Executive Team on all appropriate financial management, finance and business risk, statutory and technical accountancy, audit and other relevant matters, to enable the Trust to manage its financial resources effectively, and meet its statutory duties.
- As a member of the Trust Board, providing strategic input to the Trust’s Service Development Strategy and Governance arrangements, and overseeing the internal/external financial modelling.
- Continuing development and implementation of Financial Strategies to ensure the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities and is responsive to changes required.
- Developing comprehensive management information systems that can inform the Trust Board about the use of resources.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes.
- Fully professionally qualified Accountant with a strong track record of success in a complex environment at Director or Deputy Director of Finance level or equivalent.
- A strong leader who is able to manage, mentor and develop the finance and informatics teams to deliver the highest level of service.
- Evidence of leading a high performance finance team and managing in a change orientated environment.
- Ideally exposure to and involvement in quality improvement strategies, such as lean methodology.
