A well-established and growing International Charity based in the North West of England are recruiting for a Finance Manager/Finance Business Partner. The job will be based out of their Manchester Head Quarters to support the charities operations worldwide and provide a high quality financial business partnering service. The job will include financial modelling, analysis & review, financial reporting and transactional accounting services.
The Finance Managers core job is to support the financial management of a portfolio of projects around the world. This will involve supporting the project teams to create and monitoring the budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis and exception based reporting. Support the development and review of new business proposals, scrutinising direct and indirect cost, financial alignment with project work plans and external reporting requirements.
You will be responsible for the review of each projects balance sheet accounts, analysing key trends and variations. Lead the monthly financial close process for your portfolio and provide both remote and on-site financial management support to each project.
You will supervise the production of grant/contract financial reports, including contract billing and cashflow forecasting and management and support the Central Finance Team in the production of financial information for both grant & statutory audits
You will ideally have financial experience in a commercial, bid orientated environment either from the commercial or charitable sector. You must have strong management accounting experience, have a pro-active approach to budget monitoring and reporting. Demonstrable ability to think and plan and identify areas of future concern and organisational risks
You will be a part or fully qualified accountant with experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures. You will possess a clear communication style on both financial and non-financial matters. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive in offering a solution driven approach, applying sound business principals to complex problems.
This is a 6 month contract, whilst the organisation goes through a period of restructure on the back of their continued growth, so are looking for applicants who can start during March 2019. Shortlisting and CV Submission will be 26th February 2019.
